Me and JT were back at it. Slogging through ATL traffic trying to find the perfect spot to take photos. Sure it was a bit breezy and nippy but hey, you do what yo gotta do to get the shot. And here it is.

That Ol’ Blackmagic… Cinema Camera

“This year’s announcement is twice as jaw-dropping as the previous one. Two fantastic, budget-minded entries that will have novice and pro alike salivating at the opportunity to use these lil gadgets. First, there’s a micro 4/3′s camera that’ll shoot 1080p as well as record in RAW. Oh, and it’s under a grand. Then there’s a 4k model (roughly twice the resolution of 1080p) that will also shoot RAW and that models is coming in at an unbelievable sub-$5k price. Wow. These camera’s may be niche, but you’d better believe Blackmagic has just found a boatload of street cred and will quickly find itself in a great position to be a bona-fied leader in the low budget/indie production category.”

Modern art + style Anniversary Giveaway | UPDATE

Modern art + style is celebrating its one year anniversary and recent B. FAB award (for best fashion photographer blogger) by giving away a bunch of cool stuff. Think of it as a thank you for checking in on us every now and then as well as encouraging us to keep pushing forward. We truly appreciate it. Whether you purposely type in the URL or serendipitously find an article or an image and stay to check out what this thing is all about, you managed to make a difference. In the end, it means a lot to have people respond positively to the work we’ve put in and will continue to put in.

There are two gift bags. An art bag that I’m filling with pens (Micron is my favorite brand), pencils, drawing pad, Holga camera (w/film!) and Lens Baby Spark to shoot all that fun stuff when you’re out and about on those warm days.

Thanks to two of my frequent + favorite contributors JT and Jourdyn for brainstorming ideas for the style gift bag. JT narrowed down the list to include a $50 Zara gift card and a bunch of beauty stuff to get you ready for spring.

Hey guess what, I just recently won an award for best fashion photographer blogger. On top of that, it’s the one year anniversary of my blog! So I have a lot to be thankful for and well, since no one wants to celebrate alone–I’m doing a giveaway!

There are more than a few people who helped make Modern art + style what it is. And chief among them is you, the reader. Whether you purposely typed in the URL or serendipitously found an article or an image and stay to check out what this thing is all about, you managed to make a difference. When you make a return visit, then that feels even better. Make mention and refer others to the blog, further validation. In the end, it means a lot to have people respond positively to the work being published on a semi-consistant basis.
